How do I register for a class?
Your registration method will depend on your payment preferences.
You can register online when paying by credit card, debit card, or electronic check. If using a purchase order or SF 182, email customer service at [email protected], and they will process your registration(s).
If your agency requires an invoice to obtain training or funding approval, please contact customer service at 888.545.8571 or [email protected].
Does Management Concepts offer discounts?

Is Management Concepts on the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Service Schedule?
Yes. Management Concepts has negotiated with the General Services Administration to ease the procurement process and provide special pricing for federal government employees who wish to attend Private Group Training or agencies that wish to purchase 5 or more Bulk Buy class registrations.
What kind of course materials are available?
Electronic materials are included for all courses. Upon request, printed copies can be provided for a fee by contacting customer service at 888.545.8571 or [email protected].
Can the training be customized for my agency/organization?
We can customize training for your organization with our Private Group Training offering, which can be held at your location, our training facility, or virtually. In addition, we offer a variety of scalable, targeted Custom Learning Solutions — from lightly tailored or 100% custom-developed courses to Learning Portals and more.

Where are In-person classes held?
In person open enrollment classes are generally held at one of several locations operated by Management Concepts. See the full list here. Your enrollment confirmation email will show the location of your class. Private Group classes may be held at one of these locations or at a location operated by your agency. See your enrollment confirmation email for details.
Payment and Invoicing
When is payment due?

What is the credit card surcharge?
Management Concepts has implemented a 2.5% surcharge for Open Enrollment registrations paid with a credit card, which is permitted by the GSA SmartPay Smart Bulletin No. 17.
This surcharge is the amount that the credit card companies charge Management Concepts for processing transactions. Customers can avoid the surcharge by paying with a physical check or EFT/electronic check.

Is it possible to receive a refund if I cancel my enrollment in the class?
Refunds are made upon request only for registrations cancelled 14 calendar days or more prior to the class start date. Credits granted can be used for any future class.
Can I obligate funds from the current fiscal year to pay for Management Concepts training during the next fiscal year?
Yes. The Government Accountability Office (GAO) states that it is permissible to use this year’s funds for training that is scheduled for the following fiscal year, which includes Open Enrollment courses and contracted Private Group Training courses.
The Comptroller General’s Decision (B-238940) permits use of current fiscal year funds to pay for training during the next fiscal year if the following 3 conditions are met:
The training meets a bona fide need of the current fiscal year
Scheduling of the course(s) must be beyond the agency’s control
The time between procurement and performance must not be excessive
It is best to consult your contracting officer for your agency’s specific policy regarding the use of end-of-year funds. Course Information
When and how will my class be confirmed to run?
The decision to confirm or cancel a class is made on a rolling basis but no later than 2 weeks prior to the class start date. You will receive email notification of the class confirmation or cancellation. For classes designated as Guaranteed to Run on the schedule, no confirmation notification is required as the class will not be cancelled.
How do I determine if my course has pre-work to complete?
You will receive an email notification that will include information about pre-work (if applicable). You can also refer to the course description page.
What are the requirements for passing my class?
You must fulfill attendance and participation requirements and complete all graded activities and exams. Requirements for specific courses may vary and are noted in the course descriptions.
Who determines how many credits I earn for my course?
For most of our courses, you can earn credits from more than 1 authorizing body. Learn more about Continuing Education Credits.
Attendance
What are attendance expectations?
You should attend the class based on the scheduled hours according to the official class agenda.
Management Concepts training is focused on covering the learning objectives of the course. You will need to attend the entirety of the class to ensure you meet the required learning objectives.
For in-person classes, please note that you should schedule your departure time after the course’s scheduled end time.
What are my class hours?
For Open Enrollment classes, hours are shown in Eastern Standard Time on the course page in the Upcoming Start Dates section. You can also find your class hours in your confirmation email.
Will I have breaks during my class?
All our courses have breaks incorporated into the learning schedules. You can count on at least 1 morning break, time for lunch, and at least 1 afternoon break.
What if I need to miss part of my class?
In case of illness or unavoidable emergency that results in partial attendance, makeup class time may possibly be accommodated via another class session, depending on space availability. For assistance, contact customer service at 888.545.8571 or [email protected].
For Private Group Training classes and programs, you should contact your agency training program manager.
What happens if I do not attend a class after registering for it?
See our Terms and Conditions for Student No-Show for Open Enrollment Training. If you know you cannot attend ahead of the class time, please contact customer service at 888.545.857 or c[email protected] to discuss your options.
What if I cannot attend my class due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances?
Virtual classes will run as scheduled.
In-person classes at the Washington, DC location follow the federal government’s Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Washington, DC area operating status for inclement weather. other areas will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We make every effort to notify students via email and an update on our website.

Exams
How do I know if my class has an exam?
Courses that have exams or graded activities will have information posted on that course’s webpage.
What happens if I don’t pass an exam?
If you did not achieve the minimum score on an exam and you are eligible to retest, you will receive an email notification explaining how to proceed. You are allowed 1 opportunity to retest, which must be completed within 3 months of the class end date. We recommend retesting as soon as possible, while the material is still fresh.
Note: Some Private Group Training courses do not allow retesting based on the agency’s preference.
Post-Course
How long will I have access to class materials after the course?
Course materials are available online for 1 year from the class or program end date. We recommend downloading the materials so you can reference them in the future.
When will I receive my certificate of completion/credit for the course?
If you fulfill attendance and participation requirements, and pass all graded activities and exams, you will receive a PDF copy of your Certificate of Completion by email within 2 weeks of the class end date.
How do I complete my course evaluation if the link does not work?
You can complete your course evaluation with a Course Feedback Form.

What should I do if I encounter accessibility issues with any of your products/services?

We take these reports seriously and work diligently to address them.
