New Supervisor Immersion (NSI) Program

Effective leaders — no matter what their roles — use communication, emotional intelligence, and accountability to complete work and further the interests of the organization. This SoFLE program is designed to enable new or aspiring supervisors to gain proficiency in key leadership areas.

Who Attends

NSI is designed for new and aspiring supervisors in the GS-9 to GS-12 levels. Cohorts are formed from students within an agency, which allows for a tailored experience that addresses the agency’s specific needs.

How It Works

NSI begins with pre-assessments and an orientation. The program also begins and ends with a three-day in-classroom session to foster social and collaborative bonds within the cohort. In between, learners attend virtual instructor-led classes; work on projects in groups; and receive individualized feedback from a variety of facilitators, peers, and mentors.
