“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
President John F. Kennedy
An estimated 7.11 million Americans have chosen public service careers. How does their work impact our lives, our communities, and the entire nation? Public Service Recognition Week, May 5-11, is dedicated to providing recognition for public servants, whose hard work and valiant efforts enhance our quality of life.
Since 1985, our nation has taken time out during the first week of May to shine a spotlight on contributions of Federal, state, county, and local government employees.
Our CEO, Thomas Dungan III explained, “We know from personal experience that government employees are truly public servants. They’re some of the hardest-working people we know, who are completely dedicated to their missions and the American people. For over 45 years, we have had the privilege to serve the Federal workforce in providing career and professional development solutions, and we look forward to continuing that relationship far into the future.”
Management Concepts, Young Government Leaders, and Blacks In Government NOW Generation work together to host events that celebrate passionate contributions of the public sector during Public Service Recognition Week and throughout the year.
