Hitting the Right Note at NCMA World Congress 2023 icon

Management Concepts was proud to participate as a bronze sponsor at the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) World Congress 2023, which took place July 23–26, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee, and online. The record attendance of over 3,000 in person and an additional 2,000 online resulted in a sold-out event, with conference-goers’ expectations fully met and exceeded by the range of sessions, exhibit hall vendors, and special events.

Sunday commenced with half-day and full-day workshops for all access registrants, followed by an evening welcome reception for all. Attendees enjoying refreshments flooded the exhibit floor, seeing what each vendor had to offer. Monday morning kicked off early with keynote speakers and awards presentations. A variety of breakout sessions followed, covering topics ranging from foundational contract management skills to financial management, current issues in acquisition and contracting, emerging technologies, leadership strategies, and personal growth and development.

Centered at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center outside Nashville, the venue made a splash, with the experience enhanced by convenient shuttle buses downtown for evening events and enjoyment of downtown restaurants and nightlife. The closing reception on Tuesday evening at Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville delivered a quintessential Music City experience, with nearly every attendee on their feet learning country line dancing as a local dance instructor kept it fun even for those with two left feet.

Throughout the bustling two and a half days of World Congress 2023, Management Concepts spread awareness of our recently launched Career Gateway: Acquisition program during our Learning Pavilion talk with presenter Robert Daugherty, director, acquisition and contracting. This experiential, cohort-based training solution for federal acquisition and contracting professionals new to the field is DAU Equivalency Certified. Visitors to the Management Concepts booth could also learn about new Acquisition and Contracting Credentialing tracks to enhance professional development and career opportunities for seasoned professionals.

In all, NCMA’s annual World Congress was music to our ears and truly a not-to-be missed event for acquisition and contracting professionals. We look forward to moving the needle in Seattle, Washington, at World Congress 2024. View event photos on Facebook, and check out our NCMA partner page anytime for upcoming events and activities.
