OIGs on a Mission: AIG Annual Conference '22 icon

The Association Of Inspectors General (AIG) met in person for the first time since 2019 at their Annual Conference in Washington, DC, October 12-14, 2022. Management Concepts was pleased to support the conference for the first time as a Gold Sponsor, and meet the many inspectors general (IGs) and those in related roles at the federal, state, and local levels who came from across North America to participate in the event.

This dynamic 3-day event featured cameos by local leaders, such as Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, DC, as well as well-known and knowledgeable speakers and experts in the field within the multiple breakout sessions and tracks. Now more than ever, fraud waste and abuse of government funds is a pressing issue at all levels of federal, state, and local government, particularly in the wake of pandemic relief funding measures. Session topics ranged across relevant and timely topics, from procurement to audit, grants fraud and detection, investigative skills, oversight methods, leadership and workplace issues, and current events.

Management Concepts participated in the exhibit hall with custom handouts with featured courses in financial management and audit, grants, and analytics and courses. We all showcased our leadership and management offerings, and highlighted our innovative new course “Exploring Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, And Accessibility (DEIA).”

With so much important work to be done in safeguarding public funds and well-being, it is inspiring to meet those on the frontlines, and know that we are in good hands with these active and dedicated professionals. Management Concepts wishes all the best to our IGs; we’ll see you again 2023.
