At a Glance

NVTI needed to quickly pivot from in-person to an all-virtual training environment as COVID-19 spread globally, creating an acute need for resources among veteran service providers.

We ensured that veteran service providers had access to necessary training and resources through virtual and on-demand course delivery.

With a dedicated eLearning portal and website along with strong, relevant content, we enabled NVTI to bring robust training and resources to the widest audience possible.

Background

Since 1986, NVTI is uniquely mandated to train veteran services providers. In early 2020, NVTI was unable to provide in-person training and learning resources due to COVID-19 concerns. This disruption could have prevented NVTI from fulfilling its core mission of smoothly training the Jobs for Veterans State Grants (JVSG) personnel who help veterans find and retain gainful employment, as well as supporting other veteran service providers as they support our nation’s veterans.

Challenges

NVTI needed to pivot quickly to a virtual training environment which would address the needs of veteran service providers and increase their reach in a challenging employment environment.

Our Solution

Our partnership with DOL VETS and the NVTI extended learning beyond the physical classroom. We built NVTI a state-of-the-art, secure online learning portal and website. We created digital communication tools, including strategic mailings and bi-monthly newsletters. More, we reach veteran service providers through timely and relevant podcasts, webinars, social media posts, communities or practice, microlearning opportunities, and relevant original content and resources. This approach is informative and engaging, benefiting the global veteran community with invaluable resources.

  • Webinars and podcasts on challenges and success unique to veteran services established NVTI as a key resource for veteran service providers specializing in supporting veterans moving into the private sector
  • Continuous enhancements, including modernized course content and the eventual return to a blended delivery environment that makes the best use of face-to-face training, live virtual instruction, and asynchronous online content positions NVTI to provide state-of-the-art learning and thought leadership for years to come
